In 2005, Rick Hobby started Hobby Electric, a small business with just one truck. As the sole operator of the business, Rick utilized his skills and expertise to provide quality electrical services to his customers. However, he knew that he needed to expand the business in order to reach more customers and grow his enterprise.

In 2008, Hobby Electric had grown enough to hire a team of four employees and move into a new office. To manage the business more efficiently, they invested in estimating software which helped to streamline the bidding process and increase accuracy. With this new software and more employees, Hobby Electric was able to take on more jobs and expand its services.
